Subscriptions that Solve
No Match in CODIS –No Problem!
New DNA Answers for Cold or Stalled Cases
The shared nature of human DNA means anyone can be traced, whether they are individually listed in a genetic database or not. Our advanced forensic DNA testing supports forensic investigative genetic genealogy (FIGG) using whole-genome sequencing and DNA-SNP profiles—testing technology that exceeds the capability of public crime labs.
Unlike traditional DNA-STR matching methods using CODIS, FIGG enables investigators to identify unknown suspects or victims by tracing distant relatives and constructing family trees to pinpoint identities — even in decades-old cold cases. This new forensic testing tool is capable of providing defensible, science-based leads where none previously existed–lead opportunities that CODIS doesn’t offer.
Resolve Forensics is different–on purpose. We’re redefining forensic DNA testing with purpose-driven innovation. Resolve’s advanced forensic science and DNA capabilities have developed the industry’s only subscription-based DNA testing model—delivering the lowest per-sample pricing available, with predictable costs, no hidden fees or surprises, and turnaround times in weeks—not months.
Subscription Tiers DNA Testing for FIGG Casework
FIGG is a powerful tool reshaping criminal investigations and expanding identification capabilities, delivering real opportunity to close cases that once seemed unsolvable. For victims and their families, cold cases utilizing forensic genealogy are uncovering new investigative leads where none existed in cases that are over 50 years old. If the goal is to close all the cases, you need access to all the tools.

Add-On: Backlog Reduction
Testing Schedule
Client may optionally include a Backlog Reduction Add-On for previously extracted DNA samples. These cases bypass extraction and Phase 1 QC and are processed directly through Resolve Forensics’ standard sequencing and bioinformatics workflow. Although no official definition exists for the DNA backlog, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) defines a backlogged case as one that remains untested for 30 days after it has been submitted to a laboratory.
Add-On Backlog Reduction Cases do not include the upload of data to GEDmatch, FamilyTreeDNA, or any third-party database or any genealogical investigation, family tree building, or analysis by a FIGG professional.
